Electronic Stuff For Sale

22nd January 2010

I’ve got some stuff that is in good condition (most of it is new) and I am looking to get rid of.  If interested, email me at:

-AVCOM MDM-1575-8 GPS antenna splitter, 19 inch rack mountable, in good working condition. ($200 plus shipping OBO)

This unit was made for one company who used it for GPS work, and was not a full production unit.  The heart of the unit is a passive Mini-Circuits ZB8PD-2 Power Splitter being fed by an amplified GPS input signal. According to the specs for the Mini-Circuits Splitter, it uses a port isolation of 20-25 dB.  The unit powers on, and is guaranteed against DOA. All ports have been verified working, and the +5 volt DC signal also works.  There’s not much technical specification on the unit available per AVCOM, but they confirmed that all ports are amplified so that you have unity gain out after splitting 8 ways, inputs are DC blocked, and there is 5V LNA out on each port for powering a GPS antenna.  If there are any questions that I can’t answer (What’s in this post is basically what I know, and I think all they know too), AVCOM of Virginia can be reached at 804-794-2500.

I do have pictures of the unit and documentation on the power splitter in PDF format upon request.  Please contact me off-list if interested.  First offer of $200 USD + shipping takes it, but if you feel as though you’d like to make an offer, feel free!

-Trimble Active GPS antenna with SMA connector. ($10 each plus shipping)

I have SEVERAL of these left over from a group APRS build.  For use with 26dB ACE III, Lassen SK II and Lassen SVeeEight PLUS. (NOTE: the standard ACE III and Lassen SK II receivers use SMB connector.)

Features:

1. Connector type: SMA
2. P/N 40767-40
3. The Antenna’s are supplied with 5 meters of cable to allow you to mount the antenna in the better position for reception improvements.
4. The antenna has a small magnet built into the base, which enables it to grip on most metal surfaces.
5. The antenna can be mounted either inside or outside of the vehicle.
6. Unlike some GPS Boosters this system does not require any Batteries or separate power supply, as it is powered via the antenna connection.

-Motorola UHF Power Amplifier Part# MHW720A2 ($85 each + shipping)

10 Available.  PERFECT for Ham Radio applications.  Very rugged and stable design.  The absolute lowest price I have found for these are $125 a piece from RFParts.com, so at this price, it’s a steal!

I have quite a few of these as well left over from a group build.

Quick Features:

Freq Range 440 - 470 MHz

20 W output (@12.5VDC input)

-Toshiba (Mitsubishi Electric) M57774 185MHz - 200MHz Power Amplifier ($19.99 each + shipping)

Less than 70 cents a watt output!  20 Available, I’d like to just get rid of them, so I will take an offer for the lot.  Output is 30 watts max, 12.5VDC supply.
